Here’s a piece of wild news that job seekers—especially those seeking employment in the computers field—should be aware of: many companies are now only posting their job openings on social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
They say this is to weed out people who don’t have the computer skills that they claim to have, but that’s sort of faulty reasoning, don’t you think? How are they to know your rinky dink company exists to follow you in the first place? And even if they can navigate Twitter or Facebook, that doesn’t mean that they’re skilled. I know a lot of idiots who use both sites.
Still, you might want to start moving your Craigslist searches to Twitter…
